We had high hopes for the Nokia N97 when we checked in June 2009. Armed with a touchscreen and a long list of features, it seems that the flagship model of the Nokia N series is a success. Unfortunately, it proved to be quite the opposite. Faced with a poor user interface and the lackluster performance, the N97 is forgettable, especially the iPhone, Palm Tunney, and Android devices hit the stage. However, not one to give up, Nokia is back with the Mini Nokia N97 ($ 479 unlocked). Sporting design more compact and streamlined, the Mini N97 is certainly an improvement over its big brother. The performance is better and it is still very much a receiver Smartphone. However, the user interface of the Mini N97 is still confusing and frustrating to use, since there are a number of celebrities and other similar simple touch screen smartphones on the market today, we can not see the Mini N97 attract too many users other than Symbian / Nokia fanboys and fangirls.

Design
The Nokia N97 Mini aptly named because it is essentially a mini version of the Nokia N97. The smartphone measures 4.45 inches high by 2.07 inches wide by 0.56 inch deep and weighs 4.87 oz, while the N97 was established at 4.61 inches high by 2.18 inches width of 0.63 inches thick and 5.29 ounces.
